THE CAPTIVATING CELLO

Mark Kosower

Mark Kosower

BlueWater’s opening concert is highlighted by special guest soloist Mark Kosower, Principal Cellist of The Cleveland Orchestra. His “eloquent” and “red-blooded” playing will captivate and amaze in the virtuosic Second Concerto of Haydn and the seldom heard grand duet for violin and cello by Saint-Saens. Guest Conductor Octavio Mas-Arocas returns to Cleveland to lead the orchestra in one of Beethoven’s most popular symphonies.

VOCAL VERVE

Scott MacPherson

Scott MacPherson

Scott MacPherson and the Cleveland Chamber Choir combine forces with BlueWater in its first program of major choral works. The festive Ascension Oratorio contrasts with Corigliano’s introspective cantata, set to a poem by Dylan Thomas. Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances for orchestra unites the two vocal masterpieces.
